Event Description:Mr. Robert Layne, Director of Outreach Programs at UMass Medical School, will present an overview of their Summer Enrichment Program (SEP). This is a tuition-free, four-week, residential program for current undergraduate sophomores and juniors who are interested in entering careers in the biomedical research, biotechnology and health professions (BBHP). Sessions include the professional school application process, with emphasis on medical school admissions and financing for professional schools, so that participants may improve their qualifications and competitive standing for professional, graduate and/or medical school. Seminars on health disparities and cultural contemporary health issues are also provided.
