The Mount Holyoke and Cornell Glee Clubs and the Pioneer Valley Orchestra will perform Haydn’s Harmoniemesse, the last Great Mass written by the composer. The concert will also include individual musical sets by Mount Holyoke and Cornell.
The Mount Holyoke Glee Club and Chamber Singers, directed by Lindsay Pope ’07, will perform a diverse and varied selection of folk songs from the Republic of Georgia, Estonia, and Hungary, as well as the choral classic Ave Maria by Gustav Holst, closing with college favorites.
The Cornell Glee Club, directed by John Rowehl, will also perform songs from the Republic of Georgia, in addition to pieces by Alan Fletcher and arrangements by David Morrow, David Poole, and Uzee Brown, Jr. The concert is free and open to the public. Doors will open 30 minutes before the performance.
