Event Description:The word "respect" comes from the Latin verb respicere, meaning "to look back at, regard." To what extent can we respect others enough to regard them authentically and allow them to regard ourselves authentically? How can you know how other people want to be treated? Where do "Political Correctness" and "Cultural Relativism" come in? How can they interrupt or facilitate this process of authenticity? Everyone is invited to take a break from other studies and get absorbed for a bit in this intriguing conversation.
Facilitators: Prakruti Nanda '14 and Ayoola White '13
Location: Blanchard Lounge (227)
