The goal of “Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow” is to educate the community about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana, as well as texting and driving, and to provide information about campus resources.

Participants will go through a series of stations that provide education about how to determine their personal Blood Alcohol Content (BAC); how much alcohol is in a standard drink; field sobriety tests; and then will have the opportunity to drive a golf cart on an obstacle course on Skinner Green, wearing Fatal Vision Goggles that simulate driving at .08 BAC. A number of faculty and staff will participate as “celebrity drivers”. We are hoping to have President Pasquerella join us as she did last year. Once completed, all participants will be asked to sign a pledge not to drink and drive or text and drive.
