In Paradise Lot: Two Plant Geeks, One-Tenth of an Acre, and the Making of an Edible Garden Oasis in the City,
Eric Toensmeir tells the story of how he transformed a barren urban lot
into an edible paradise. This case study of permaculture design and
edible landscaping follows the nine years it took to develop the site,
which now features over forty species of fruit and seventy perennial
edible leaves on a tenth of an acre.
Besides authoring Paradise Lot (which features contributions by Jonathan Bates), Toensmeier wrote the award-winning Perennial Vegetables and co-authored Edible Forest Gardens. He will sign copies of Paradise Lot following his reading.
